The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is provided by Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (TEWV). The service works with children, young people, and their families up to the age of 18 years old who are experiencing mental health problems / complex emotional and behavioural difficulties, offering assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. <SEND>

Deaf CAMHS (Northern Region) has centres in Manchester, Newcastle and York. The service is flexible about where meetings and sessions take place, so distance from a centre should not be an issue. The North East service is based in Benton House covering the North East although appointments are often carried out at home or in the child/young person's school/college, or at healthcare centres/G.P surgery's local to the child/young persons home. Referral is made via a referral form which can be requested directly from the service. Contact with the service can be made by telephone, letter, text, fax or email. Consultation prior to referral is encouraged. <SEND>
