Makaton Training Levels 1 & 2 Combined

Makaton, although originally designed for children and adults with learning difficulties, but it is now also used in helping people with a wide range of communication, speech, language and literacy difficulties, including helping babies, toddlers and children whose first language is not English. Makaton is listed by the Communication Trust in its "What Works" database of evidenced interventions to support children's speech, language and communication.

The Levels 1 and 2 combined course teaches around 300 signs from the Makaton Core Vocabulary (stages 1 - 4 plus Additional Vocabulary), with lots of practise at signing in everyday sentences.

A Makaton Certificate of completion is awarded at the end.

No previous signing experience is necessary.
