Yarm Association for the Widowed and People who live alone alone (YAW) is a service aimed at Widowed people and people who live alone in the Yarm and Stockton area to meet up for fun, friendship and understanding.

We meet:
- every Friday in Tomahawk Restaurant in Yarm from 10am till 11:30am (the men meet from 10:30am till 12pm). This is an informal get together over a cup of tea/coffee of people who have all gone through a similar experience
- the first Monday of every month from 2pm till 4pm in Eaglescliffe Golf Club
- we also meet for a coffee the fourth Thursday of the month at Eaglescliffe, Golf Club, from 2pm till 4pm
Our monthly meetings take the form of a games/fun afternoon or a guest speaker/entertainment. We alternate our meetings to be either one or the other.
We also have Summer and Christmas lunch together as well as frequent coach outings to places of interest.
