Hurworth House School
Hurworth House School is a specialist day school for boys and girls aged seven to 19 years who have complex learning difficulties including behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD) and autistic spectrum disorders (ASD). The young people may also have challenging behaviour as a result of their difficulties.
The school offers a warm and welcoming environment where a positive education allows all pupils to experience success. Our ethos was created in the belief that a positive, supportive and achieving culture is essential in creating a good school. Pupils who come from a negative, destructive and anti-achievement background need a completely different environment in which to rediscover success and self-belief.
