Cafe AMALA

Our Fully Funded Pop Up Cafe (supported by Middlesbrough Council, The Allen Lane Foundation and Tees Valley Community Fund) is a place where after class, people can come together for a good chat and free tea, coffee and refreshments.

Cafe AMALA

Cafe AMALA offers older adults and those living with long term health conditions:

  • a supportive ear
  • comradery and friendship
  • signposting to local services
  • information on practising safely outside of class
  • ways to improve practice
  • time to answer questions and offer advice where there would not be time in exercise sessions
  • time to develop relationships built in exercise sessions.
  • help and support to develop home exercise and meditation/relaxation plans
  • free resources and home work-out equipment
  • special guest talks
  • volunteering opportunities

Cafe AMALA runs on:

  • First Monday of the month - after the exercise class at The Rings Community Hub, 39 The Rings, Ingleby Barwick, Stockton-on-Tees, TS17 5LL
  • Third Monday of month - after the exercise class at The Glebe Community Centre, Hanover Parade, The Glebe, Norton, Stockton-on-Tees, TS20 1RB
