Cafe AMALA

Our Fully Funded Pop Up Cafe (supported by Middlesbrough Council, The Allen Lane Foundation and Tees Valley Community Fund) is a place where after class, people can come together for a good chat and free tea, coffee and refreshments.

Cafe AMALA offers older adults and those living with long term health conditions:

  • A supportive ear
  • Comradery and friendship
  • Signposting to local services
  • Information on practising safely outside of class
  • Ways to improve practice
  • Time to answer questions and offer advice where there would not be time in exercise sessions
  • Time to develop relationships built in exercise sessions.
  • Help and support to develop home exercise and meditation/relaxation plans
  • Free resources and home work-out equipment
  • Special guest talks
  • Volunteering opportunities

Cafe AMALA runs on:

  • Third Friday of the month - 2:30 - 3:30pm at The Rings Community Hub, 39 The Rings, Ingleby Barwick, Stockton-on-Tees, TS17 5LL
  • Third Monday of month - 4:15 - 5:15 at Glebe Community Centre, Hanover Parade, The Glebe, Norton, Stockton-on-Tees, TS20 1RB
