Coaster's Corner

My name is Julie, I work with my husband Ray and our Norton based childminding service is called Coaster's Corner. We have four children of our own. We have a purpose built micro nursery which includes a potty room, changing room, kitchen and large playroom dedicated to childminding. Children can relax and use the facilities on offer. We have treasure baskets, Wii, building resources, train table and trains, musical instruments, play kitchen, play dough, kinetic sand, water tables, tents, maths, English and number teaching resources and lots of other toys. We provide visits to soft play and parent and toddler groups at no extra charge to parents. During the school holidays there are outings to the cinema at a small cost to parents. We also take the children to visit local parks and to Norton duck pond. I have a certificate of higher education in the Early Years through the Open University (equivalent to a foundation degree in the early years).

I have undertaken Special Needs training and I have worked with children with Special needs for a number of years. I hold additional qualifications relevant to working with children with disabilities and special educational needs. I have extensive experience of working with Down's Syndrome and Autism. I have also worked closely with social services on a number of occasions to support children and families with additional needs. I have also worked closely with children that have medical needs for example Diabetes and kidney Nephrotic Syndrome.
