Matrix Neurological Recovery

MATRIX Neurological Recovery is an innovative children's charity now based in Stockton-on-Tees, established to provide practical help and support to children, young people and their families in the Tees Valley area, who are living with the effects of a childhood acquired brain injury following an accident or illness.

After hospital discharge, many children continue to face hidden challenges with memory, behaviour, emotional regulation, fatigue and learning. These difficulties can affect home life and make returning to school overwhelming.

Matrix provides specialist assessment and neuro-rehabilitation support, working closely with families, local schools and professionals to ensure children and young people receive the right support at the right time. The Matrix Specialist Recovery School also offers alternative provision for children struggling to return to mainstream education.
